Renowned bhajan singer Narendra Chanchal has passed away due to prolonged illness. Today (Friday), he breathed his last at Delhi’s Apollo Hospital. PM Narendra Modi tweeted and paid tribute to him.

Narendra Chanchal heard his mother Kailashwati singing hymns of Matarani from childhood. After listening to the hymns of the mother, she also became interested in music. Narendra Chanchal’s first guru was his mother. After this Chanchal learned music from Prem Trikha, then he started singing bhajans.
